Reimagine Onboarding for a Tech Giant

In late-2020, a very large tech company that hires a city worth of people every year wanted to reimagine onboarding for the remote era. (They used to hold massive, in-person orientations followed by office-based team onboarding.) The client wanted a journey map, but we set them all off on a slideshow-based choose-your-own-adventure story that helped them experience how no two journeys are the same.

Having built up greater empathy for the challenge, we delivered a catchy, more memorable strategic framework (that we also turned into a dance move) to ensure every new employee is supported through critical moments that can expedite or delay their sense of belonging. That strategy still informs onboarding 3+ years later.
